Allu Arjun, the lead actor of Pushpa 2, attended a grand success meet in Hyderabad on Saturday, marking his first public event following the film’s massive box office triumph and his recent arrest and subsequent bail in connection with the Sandhya theatre stampede case.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to his fans, Allu Arjun acknowledged their unwavering love and support, emphasizing that their encouragement has been instrumental in making Pushpa 2 the blockbuster that it is today. He described the film’s success as a significant and positive milestone in his journey, stating that he aims to continue making his fans proud with every step forward. He said, "I’ll make you all proud with all your love and blessings."
Addressing speculation about Pushpa 3, he kept things open-ended but intriguing. "Pushpa 3—neither you nor I know what it will be yet," he remarked with a smile. "But let’s wait and see whenever it happens."
Allu Arjun recently expressed his gratitude to a filmmaker from the Hindi film industry for postponing their film’s release, thereby avoiding a box office clash with Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 6 last year. Without revealing the film’s title, he shared that a Vicky Kaushal-starrer was initially slated for the same date but was later rescheduled.
Recalling the conversation, he mentioned that he had personally reached out to the filmmaker to discuss the situation. He appreciated their willingness to accommodate the change, noting that they promptly decided to shift their release date. While sharing this, he also clarified his preference for referring to the industry as Hindi cinema rather than using the term Bollywood.
"I personally called them and thanked them for moving the date, and they said, 'We're all fans of Pushpa', and if you come, then we will make way for it,” Arjun said, adding that he would like to thank all the industries of Indian cinema for their support," he added.
Allu Arjun also credited director Sukumar as the driving force behind Pushpa's success, emphasizing that it was entirely his vision and craft. He urged people not to be misled into thinking otherwise, stating that everyone involved in the film, including himself, were merely characters in Sukumar’s dream and projections. He added that it is ultimately the director who communicates directly with the audience.
Pushpa 2:The Rule took the box office by storm and earned over Rs 1800 crore worldwide.
