Pawan Kalyan's eagerly awaited period action movie, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, finally hit the screens today on July 24, marking the culmination of a five-year journey that was hampered by delays, crew changes, and political obligations. Once hailed as a revolution in Telugu cinema, the project is now making a comeback with renewed enthusiasm and the personal support of its star, who has gone above and beyond by actively promoting the movie.
A Movie Postponed Due to Change and Circumstance
HHVM, which was initially directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, faced several challenges, including crew changes, production halts during the pandemic, and Pawan Kalyan's own hiatus from movies to participate in the Andhra Pradesh elections. Now serving as Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, the actor's comeback to the promotional scene has renewed interest in the project.
It's interesting to note that after Krish left, Jyothi Krisna, the son of producer AM Rathnam, took over as director. The first part of the saga, titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1-Sword vs. Spirit, is now prepared for release, demonstrating the creators' perseverance in the face of numerous obstacles.
Pawan Kalyan Discusses Compensation
In a recent interview with the media, Pawan Kalyan responded to persistent rumors regarding his compensation for HHVM. Pawan made it clear that money isn't his top priority for this movie, even though trade circles have estimated his fee to be between Rs 11 crore and Rs 20 crore, which is significantly less than the Rs 50 crore he reportedly charged for Bro.
He implied that he is prepared to forgo or postpone his fee until the movie's box office performance is known when he said, "Even my remuneration for this... (laughs) I don't know, I'll consider it if it may become a hit tomorrow." "In order to protect the producer, I believe the movie should be released first."
This sentiment is consistent with his earlier statements that he feels obligated to promote HHVM, particularly given the film's years-long delay. He acknowledged, "I feel producers have suffered because of me, and I usually don't promote my films." "First, there was the natural disaster of Corona, followed by a political man-made disaster."
Star-Studded Ensemble and Plans for a Sequel
Hari Hara Pawan Kalyan plays the title character in Veera Mallu, a Mughal-era Robin Hood-like outlaw. Bobby Deol portrays the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, and Nidhhi Agerwal plays the dancer Panchami. A visual extravaganza full of action, rebellion, and cultural history is what the movie promises.
Although HHVM's sequel is already in the works, its release will be contingent upon Part 1's box office performance.

Hari Hara, whether Pawan Kalyan accepts his fee or not Given his name and intentions, it is obvious that he supports the movie Veera Mallu.
