Parmeet Sethi talks about the time when his marriage with Archana Puran Singh hit a rough patch: We were fighting a lot

The Great Kapil Sharma Show's special guest, Archana Puran Singh and her actor husband, Parmeet Sethi, are a happy-go-lucky couple, but they also had their share of marriage troubles earlier.

In a candid chat with his son Aryamann Sethi as part of their family vlogs on YouTube, Parmeet revealed that there was a time when they would have regular fights and arguments. Their marriage went through a rough patch and that was the time when Archana forced Parmeet to do an Art Of Living course.

"I did the Art of Living course. Archana forced me to do it. We were going through a very bad time as husband and wife. We were fighting a lot. She said, come and do the course. I did not want to do it. I went to Bangalore and did the course," Parmeet told his son.

“After the course, mere andar jo jo cheezein thi, jo jo kachra pada hua tha in my soul, in my being, vo sab bahar aa gaya. (After the course, all the things and bad thoughts that were inside me came out.) I cried loudly for my sister who had died earlier. I cried to my heart's content. I used to diet a lot during that time, but during the meditation, I imagined myself eating rich food. After that, all my physical ailments were gone after that day," he added.

Archana and Parmeet have two children—sons—Aryamann and Ayushmann Sethi. The family have launched their own vlogs and share their day-to-day life. They recently went to Switzerland and shared their fun holiday moments for their followers and fans.

Talking about Archana and Parmeet's love story—the two met at a party. Archana was reluctant to get it into a relationship after her first marriage ended in divorce. But things changed for the better when she met Parmeet. Despite a seven-year age gap, they started dating and lived together for four years. The two then eloped and secretly got married in 1992.

The couple kept their marriage a secret for a long time because of Archana's movie career.

Initially, Parmeet's parents were reluctant to accept Archana due to her age, but later, things went well. The couple has now been married for over three decades and are parents to two sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan.
