Park Ju Hyun misses Iron Girls 2

When South Korean actress Park Ju Hyun did not make an appearance in the Iron Girls 2 episode airing on July 25, fans were taken aback and worried.

On the reality show, Park was well-known for her fearless demeanour and exuberant energy, so her sudden absence generated online rumours. The actress was unable to participate in filming because of a minor traffic accident, which was later disclosed during the episode.

Fellow cast member and Director General Kim Dong-hyun addressed her absence on air, explaining, “Ms. Ju Hyun had a minor traffic accident in the morning. Ju Hyun really wanted to attend, but it was decided that resting was the right call, so she ended up not participating."

One of the regular cast members of tvN's Iron Girls 2 is Park Ju Hyun. The show follows female celebrities, such as Yui, Geum Sae-rok, and Seol In-ah, as they compete against professional boxing champions, pushing themselves both emotionally and physically.

The show's themes of inner strength, resiliency, and conquering fear have struck a deep chord with its viewers.

Following the broadcast, Park’s agency issued a statement to OSEN, clarifying the timeline of events. They shared that the accident had actually occurred two to three weeks prior. “It was a minor accident with no serious injuries, such as fractures,” a representative stated. “It was challenging for her to participate in the filming, so she requested understanding and took a break. She is currently managing her scheduled commitments after recovery."

Park Ju Hyun's 2019 role in Drama Stage: The Wife's Bed brought her initial attention in the drama scene, but her captivating performance in the Netflix series Human Class was what really made her famous.

Her most recent role was in the U+ and Disney+ thriller Hunter with a Scalpel, which debuted last month. She is involved in the stage adaptation of Shakespeare in Love in addition to her work on screen.

Many fans are relieved that she is recovering and excited for her next performances, even though they missed her on Iron Girls 2.
