Parineeti Chopra to make OTT debut with new Netflix thriller, says “Some mysteries don’t just unfold”

Actor Parineeti Chopra announces her new Netflix project

Actor Parineeti Chopra is riding on the success of the Netflix film Amar Singh Chamkila. The actor took a brief break from acting and has been enjoying her married life. However, Parineeti recently surprised her followers with a shocking announcement of her new project.

Parineeti took to her Instagram and announced that she would soon make her OTT series debut. The actress shared a series of photos of the cast of the upcoming Netflix thriller. Parineeti also revealed that they have started shooting the new series.

Alongside the photos, Parineeti announced in the caption, “‘Some mysteries don’t just unfold - they pull you in, keep you guessing, and refuse to let go.’” The actor added, “A new mystery thriller series is in the making! Can’t wait for you all to see this labour of love from Team Netflix and us, when it’s ready! Shooting had begun. Marking my OTT series debut!”

Parineeti looked stunning in the vibrant red pant-suit styled with a magenta crop top underneath. She kept further details under wraps including the title. However, the new Netflix series features an ensemble cast of Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anup Soni, Jennifer Winget, Chaitannya Choudhry, Harleen Sethi, and Soni Razdan.

According to India Today, the untitled Netflix series is produced by Siddharth P Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra. Directed by Rensil D'Silva, the upcoming series is set amid the picturesque hills of Shimla and promises a gripping blend of intrigue and suspense.

However, the upcoming series is not the first collaboration of Parineeti with Netflix. She has previously starred in the Netflix film including, Ribhu Dasgupta’s The Girl on the Train, Imtiaz Ali’s biographical drama Amar Singh Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh. She will also star in an untitled romantic comedy directed by Dhruv Tripathi.
