Parineeti Chopra celebrates Mother's day

Actress Parineeti Chopra paid a heartfelt and intimate homage to her mother on Instagram on Mother's Day. The video, which featured a montage of treasured family photos and an emotional voiceover, moved both fans and followers.

"She's not just my mom, she's my friend. She's my buddy and she's a person I have a very equal Women's relationship with and I love that," Parineeti starts by saying this in the voiceover.

The actress goes on to express the life lessons she has drawn from her mother's resilience and grace. "Mom, I just want to say today that the most important thing that I've learned from you is how to go through any hardship in the world with a smile on your face."

Sharing an emotional anecdote, she reflects on her mother’s journey from Kenya to India, a significant change spurred by love and commitment. "You had to leave your comfortable life in Kenya. You fell in love with papa and even though you had to change everything about your life, about your world, about the way you lived your life, you did it. So, thank you for everything you have done for us mom, you mean the world to us."

Parineeti concludes the tribute by addressing the often-unspoken sentiments in families. "Even though we never tell you, we are only saying it today. But we love you a lot and you mean everything to us."
