Actor Parag Tyagi is currently grieving the heartbreaking loss of his wife, actress Shefali Jariwala, who tragically passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42 due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
On social media, Parag has been the target of unjustified criticism despite being in mourning. When he posted a heartfelt ode to Shefali on Instagram, trolls criticised him for doing so "too soon" after her passing.
Parag Tyagi resisted the online hate speech, refusing to allow it to interfere with his grieving process. He shared a heartwarming montage of treasured memories with Shefali in an intensely intimate and emotional Instagram reel that was shared on Wednesday.
Shefali can be seen holding Parag's hand tenderly in one of the video's many old pictures. Their hands clasped together with their beloved pet dog, Simba, in another heartwarming photo symbolises their close family ties.
But what started out as a tribute became a target for trolls, so Parag had to reply directly in his post's comments section. He made it plain that he would not consider or accept any criticism from online strangers without hesitation or regret.
The actor wrote, "For those who are trying to garner attention by saying I shall not post so soon. Bhai sab log aapki tarah nahi hote (Not everyone is like you). Pari loved to be on social media. And enjoyed the love poured to her. BTW I have never been a social media person and now she is in my heart & I will make sure she is being loved by everyone forever and she is going to be on social media even she is not around. This account is dedicated to her only."
"And want to cherish her lovely memories by sharing with her wonderful fans who deserve to see her more and forever. I don't care about the judgement you negative people having. I don't care about u but I do care about all the lovely people who loved her still love her and will always love her. I am going to cherish her memories with all of you," he concluded.
His message was not just a defence of his grieving process but also a tribute to his late wife’s memory—one that he refuses to let be tarnished by insensitivity or hate.
According to police sources, on the evening of her passing, Shefali Jariwala had taken her regular prescribed medication along with an anti-aging injection that she had reportedly been using for several years under medical supervision.
