Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar's father refuses to claim her dead body: "Do whatever you want to do with her"

Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar was recently found dead at her residence in Karachi, Pakistan. According to reports, the 32-year-old's body was discovered in a severely decomposed state, indicating that she had passed away several weeks ago, unnoticed and alone. In a heartbreaking turn of events, her family has reportedly refused to claim her body.

Her family, particularly her father and brother, allegedly refused to accept her remains when authorities told them about her death. Police were instructed to speak with her father after reaching out to her brother using her phone records.

The father’s reported response was even colder. Dr. Asghar Ali, a retired army doctor, is said to have told officials, “We have cut off ties with her long ago. Do whatever you want with her body. We will not receive it.”

After this upsetting event, officials declared that they would try one more time to convince Humaira's father to accept responsibility and carry out the required final rites in line with their traditions. The body will be deemed heirless and buried if he declines once more.

According to several accounts, Humaira had been residing in the flat in Karachi for the previous seven years. But according to reports, she had stopped making rent payments since 2024.

The actress received a notice after the landlord went to court. The police became suspicious when they showed up to deliver the notice and got no response. When they finally forced the door open, they found her dead body inside.
