Humaira Asghar was found dead in her apartment

Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar, known for her roles in the reality show Tamasha Ghar in Pakistan and in the movie Jalaibee, was found dead in her apartment on Tuesday, July 8. The actress and model was discovered dead in her home in Karachi’s Ittehad Commercial area, Phase VI.

Humaira’s body was discovered nearly three weeks after she died, and it was in a state of advanced decomposition. She was 35.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza shared with the local media that the police officials went to her apartment around 3 p.m. (local PST) and had to break down the door after no one responded despite repeated knocking.

DIG Raza told Images, "It appeared that the body was several days old." He further revealed that the deceased woman was estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old and had been living alone in the apartment for the past seven years. Neighbours grew suspicious due to a strong odour and the absence of any activity from her home, prompting them to alert the police.”

The police are currently investigating the case, and forensic teams were sent to collect evidence from the scene. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for further examination.

Humaira Asghar’s exact cause of death is yet to be revealed. However, no foul play has been confirmed, and authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report before drawing any conclusions.

Currently, the authorities are treating the case as a potential natural death at present.
