Netflix is officially entering a new chapter of the global K-pop phenomenon, teaming up with BTS as the group prepares for a comeback that fans around the world have been waiting years to witness.
After completing their mandatory military service in South Korea, the seven members of BTS are set to reunite in March with their first album in years, titled Arirang.
To celebrate the return, Netflix has announced BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, a special live-streamed performance that will premiere on the platform on March 21.
The event will serve as the first global performance of tracks from Arirang, which releases a day earlier on March 20. The live show will be broadcast from Gwanghwamun in Seoul, a symbolic and visually striking location that overlooks the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace, blending BTS’s modern global presence with deep cultural roots.

The comeback does not stop at the live performance. Netflix will also debut BTS: The Return, described as an “intimate documentary film chronicling the making of the band’s new album,” offering fans a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the emotional and creative journey that led to Arirang.
The documentary is set to premiere on March 27, allowing viewers to witness how the group navigated their reunion and returned to the studio after years apart.
Adding to the excitement, BTS are also preparing for their first full-scale world tour in several years. Spanning 2026 and 2027, the tour will take the group across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America and Australia, making it one of the most expansive tours of their career. The run is expected to include 79 shows worldwide.

The tour will begin with three nights in Goyang, South Korea, before moving to Tokyo for two shows. BTS will then travel to the United States, starting with a performance in Tampa, before continuing across multiple continents.
They are also set to return to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood for four dates on September 1–2 and September 5–6, following the massive success of their sold-out Permission to Dance on Stage concerts in 2021. The tour will feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage designed to create a fully immersive fan experience.
BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang will stream on March 21 at 8 p.m. Korean Standard Time, which translates to 3 a.m. PT, 6 a.m. ET and 4:30 p.m. IST.
