Early life

Hailing from Kolkata, Poulomi Das was reportedly a tomboy in her childhood. While pursuing higher studies, the model worked as a marketing manager simultaneously to support herself. She also then worked as an assistant director for a while. It was apparently her boss who suggested that she should take up modelling. Her parents, Gopal Chandra Das and Monisha Das, initially did not support her modelling career as they were concerns about her education.

Early Career

Poulomi Das began her career by participating in the second instalment of India’s Top Model in 2016. India’s Top Model is a reality tv show wherein contestants compete to become one definitive supermodel. Das was unfortunately eliminated from the show and ranked 7th. In June 2018, Das was on the cover of Maxim magazine as popular personality.

TV and Film Works

In November 2016, Das was cast in ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki' as a character called Baby. After this, she was cast in ‘Dil Hi Toh Hai’ as a female lead character called Ananya Puri produce by Balaji Telefilms in July 2018. In 2020, she bagged the role of Purnima in Star Bharat's soap opera ‘Kartik Purnima.’ She also worked in a web series titled ‘Paraushpur’ alongside Shilpa Shinde and Annu Kapoor.
