  • The 50 reality show drama sparks debate among fans after premiere episode

Reality TV fans are already buzzing about The 50 after the premiere episode on February 1, and the off-screen drama might be even more explosive than what played out on camera. Vanshaj Singh, a popular social media creator and one of the show’s contestants, was the first participant to be evicted — and he didn’t take it quietly. Within hours of his exit, Vanshaj took to Instagram Stories to openly criticise co-contestants Prince Narula and Karan Patel, calling both of them “absolute clowns” and accusing them of unfair gameplay in the task that led to his eviction.

In a series of strongly phrased posts, Vanshaj claimed that despite performing well and helping his team in the first challenge, he was voted out simply for having the least interaction with other players — a decision he said was driven by politics rather than performance.

Slamming Karan, he wrote, “i hope your weak old joints pain today, you deserve to be sent to an old-age home, you have made a life time hater, i will keep reminding you my name for next 10 years, budhu budha (stupid old man).”

He then mocked Prince, writing, “Hi guys, it’s me Prince Narula. I spent my life influencing individuality and fighting against the industry. I manipulate 10,000 young kids every year, but I am also a hypocrite because I am everything I stand against. I make groups, manipulate, and do politics & eliminated Vanshaj because he didn’t talk to me.”

Vanshaj didn’t stop with mocking descriptions. He also leaked a screenshot of a chat he claims was sent by Prince Narula’s team in an attempt to calm things down. The message from “Team Prince Narula” reportedly read, “Hey Vanshaj, Team Prince Narula this side. No personal hate and we don’t need any controversy. Show ko show ki tarah lo and move on. Don’t post stories like this. In fact, we were about to post a story for you, buddy.” Mocking them too, he added, “I am Prince Narula team. Why you put story? No controversy plz. We were about to give you a shoutout. What happened if we eliminated you for no reason?”

Fans on social media are already taking sides, with some calling the early eviction unfair and others criticising Vanshaj’s tone as dramatic and provocative. The heated exchange has added a new layer of intrigue to The 50, a reality series streaming on JioHotstar and airing on Colors TV, which brings 50 well-known personalities from TV, film and digital platforms together for various strategic challenges.

The 50, is streaming on JioHotstar and airs on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.
