Orry appears before Ghatkopar Narcotics office for questioning amid expanding Rs 252 crore drug probe

Orhan Awatramani, better known across the internet as Orry, arrived at the Ghatkopar ANC Narcotic Office on Tuesday afternoon for questioning in connection with the widening Rs 252 crore mephedrone case. His appearance drew a massive crowd outside the premises, with cameras and onlookers surrounding him as he stepped out of his vehicle.

Orry had originally been summoned last Thursday but failed to appear, citing the need for more time.

The ANC then issued a fresh notice directing him to present himself on November 26, which he complied with today. Dressed in an argyle brown polo and flanked by officers and aides, he was escorted through the crowd as photographers and fans shouted his name.

His questioning comes a day after Siddhanth Kapoor, actor and brother of Shraddha Kapoor, visited the same office for procedural formalities. Both men were summoned after their names surfaced during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, also known as Lavish.

Shaikh is the key accused in the massive drug seizure case that led to over 126 kilograms of mephedrone being recovered from a manufacturing unit in Sangli earlier this year.

Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai last month, allegedly told investigators that several film personalities, fashion influencers, a politician and even a relative of Dawood Ibrahim were present at rave parties he organised in India and overseas. Among the names he reportedly mentioned are Nora Fatehi, rappers, actors, filmmakers Abbas–Mustan, NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique and Orry himself.

The ANC has not confirmed any direct involvement of the celebrities named but has stated that questioning is a standard part of the process to verify claims made by the accused. Officials emphasised that a summons does not imply guilt and that the statements are required to establish timelines, contacts and movement patterns.

As Orry entered the building, his presence set off a wave of reactions online, with videos of him being escorted inside quickly circulating on social media. For now, the ANC continues to piece together a complex case that stretches from a Sangli drug lab to high-profile names in the entertainment and fashion ecosystem. More rounds of questioning are expected as the investigation moves forward.
