TV actor Vibhu Raghave, who was known for his roles in shows such as Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Suvreen Guggal, and Rhythm, died after a long battle with stage 4 colon cancer.
Vibhu was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2022, and since then he has been undergoing treatment at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.
His friends from the TV industry Simple Kaul and Aditie Malik, had been raising funds for his treatment for the past three years to help him carry on with his treatment.
Simple Kaul, Aditie, Mohit Malik, Kaveri Priyam and Karan Veer Mehra took to their Instagram stories to mourn the loss of their beloved friend to cancer.
Vibhu had been sharing about his fight against cancer on his Instagram handle. In every post of his, he would inform fans about how his treatment has been going.
For three years, Vibhu battled stage four colon cancer. This illness develops when polyps in the colon or large intestine expand and eventually cause cancer.
Simple Kaul wrote, "You will be missed, my dear. Love, light and happiness to you."
Karan Veer Mehra wrote, "Rest in peace, brother."
Kaveri Priyam wrote Vibhu's name with broken heart emojis.
The late actor was always positive till the end, and in one of his posts, he had written of being proud of his unfit body as it was supporting him in his journey with cancer.
In his posts, Vibhu always shared positive notes and would say that he didn't have the same level of fitness but was confident to fight the cancer.
The PET scan that Vibhu underwent in December 2024 revealed that his cancer had metastasized beyond his liver and into his lungs, spine, and other chest regions. A scan in February 2025 revealed that the treatment was ineffective and the disease had progressed, following four cycles of chemotherapy that he began in January 2025. Vibhu also revealed in his video, "Humne dobara se treatment change kia, and now we are trying the new treatment, and we are in the middle of it. Keeping the fingers crossed that after the next cycle, jab scan hoga, then we will have some good news. This was going on, and keep sending the love and wishes; that is something we are really counting on right now."
Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress Saumya Tandon had also joined hands with other friends to raise funds for Vibhu's cancer treatment.
