Known for making amazing blockbuster hits such as Sir and Lucky Baskhar, director Venky Atluri recently opened about his persistent attempts to work with Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, a collaboration that has so far eluded him despite multiple tries.
Venky discussed his experience as a filmmaker and his unique relationship with the Akkineni family in an open interview. His relationship started with his second movie, Mr. Majnu, starring Akhil Akkineni. Despite the film's underwhelming performance, Venky's respect for the family never wavered. He emphasised his long-standing admiration for Akkineni by declaring, "I'm a true Akkineni fan."
It's interesting to note that Venky always narrated his first scenes for Naga Chaitanya in each of his five films. However, none of the actor's projects ever took off because of scheduling conflicts and other factors. "Even though there were always good intentions, things didn't work out," Venky said.
Recently, the director had another meeting with Naga Chaitanya, and this time, their discussion concluded with optimism. Venky recalled, "Chaitanya grinned and said, 'We shouldn't miss this time — we must collaborate for sure,'" raising hopes that a long-awaited partnership might finally be in the works.

Venky also voiced his confidence in Akhil's next movie, Lenin, stating that he thinks the script will make a powerful comeback for the young star.
Fans have taken notice of Venky Atluri's sincere respect for the Akkineni legacy and his tenacious attempts to collaborate with Naga Chaitanya, who is currently working on a family drama with Tamil superstar Suriya. A Venky-Chaitanya project might soon go from being a pipe dream to a box office success if everything goes according to plan.
