In an earlier interview, Mohanlal shared his thoughts on collaborating with Prithviraj Sukumaran for the third time, reflecting on their strong professional bond. He praised Sukumaran, describing him as "very good" and emphasizing his deep involvement in the creative process. "This is my third film with him," Mohanlal said. "Bro Daddy was a different film from Lucifer. He knows what he is doing; he is very keen on scripting. He is a sensitive director. He will give more importance to acting and is totally into the film."

Mohanlal also teased fans with some details about the action-packed nature of L2: Empuraan, saying that the film demands a new kind of action. "I’ve done so many action movies, but there is a different kind of action in it. It’s a trilogy, and we’ve one more chapter to come. We haven’t shot for it. It will take some time," he revealed.
