Chatha Pacha: Ring of Rowdies Brings a WWE-Inspired Spectacle

Reel World Entertainment, a bold new production company, is making its mark on Malayalam cinema with Chatha Pacha: Ring of Rowdies, a WWE-inspired action spectacle set to redefine the industry.

The film is directed by Adhvaith Nayar, the nephew of iconic actor Mohanlal, who is making his directorial debut. Trained under renowned filmmakers like Jeethu Joseph, Rajeev Ravi, and Mohanlal himself, Adhvaith brings a fresh and fearless approach to the project. Chatha Pacha blends intense wrestling sequences, sharp humour, and a compelling underdog story, promising a cinematic experience like never before in Malayalam cinema.

At its heart, the film follows a group of misfits, ex-convicts, and outcasts who form an underground wrestling club in Fort Kochi to rebuild their lives. What begins as a small fight club soon grows into a massive spectacle, attracting large crowds and turning the fighters into local heroes. Inspired by childhood WWE idols, they develop larger-than-life personas and rivalries, leading to electrifying matches. As old foes resurface and tensions rise, the battle moves beyond the ring, turning into a fight for survival. With thrilling action, emotional depth, and moments of humour, the film celebrates the spirit of sports entertainment and camaraderie.

Chatha Pacha: Ring of Rowdies is produced by Reel World Entertainment in collaboration with Transworld Group and Lensman Group, under the guidance of industry veterans George Sebastian and Sunil Singh. The film also features an exciting musical collaboration with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, marking their first Malayalam film. The lyrics are penned by Vinayak Sasikumar.

The film boasts a stellar cast, including Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Ishan Shoukath, and Vishak Nair, with discussions ongoing with Pooja Mohanraj. The technical crew includes action choreographer Kalai Kingson, cinematographer Chandru Selvaraj, editor Praveen Prabhakar, makeup artist Ronex Xavier, and costume designer Melwy.

The film will also engage fans with exclusive merchandise, including action figures, trading cards, custom sneakers, apparel, and even a video game. Set to begin shooting in May 2025, Chatha Pacha promises to be a game-changer in Malayalam cinema, with a year-end release planned.
