Mohanlal starrer L2: Empuraan recently hit the theatres and has been riding on the success at the box office. However, the film also faced some controversy over its alleged depiction of the Gujarat riots.
However, the makers have reportedly decided to make some changes to the film following the controversy.
According to the Times of India, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has instructed the makers of L2: Empuraan to make 17 changes to the film. Following central government intervention, the CBFC's Kerala office re-examined the film and requested the necessary edits.
However, if the makers submit the revised version of L2: Empuraan by Monday, the film is likely to be cleared for screening within a few days. Additionally, the film's producers have agreed to implement the required changes.
Producer Gokulam Gopalan shared with the outlet that he has instructed L2: Empuraan director Prithviraj to make the changes "if any scenes or dialogues in the movie had hurt anyone".
