Metro...In Dino’s first song Zamaana Lage melds classic ghazal with modern soul

“Zamaana Lage,” a soulful track that beautifully captures the essence of modern love and relationships, is set to release in full on May 28 as the opening number on the film’s soundtrack.

The makers of Anurag Basu's highly anticipated film Metro...In Dino have released he first look of its song Zamaana Lage on Saturday.

“Zamaana Lage,” a soulful track that beautifully captures the essence of modern love and relationships, is set to release in full on May 28 as the opening number on the film’s soundtrack. The movie it features in—Metro… In Dino—is scheduled to hit theatres on July 4, 2025.

It is the last chapter of the highly regarded anthology by Anurag Basu, which started with Life in a Metro and proceeded with Ludo, Metro Emotional depth and vivid storytelling are combined in Dino.

Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh's expressive voices bring "Zamaana Lage," which was composed by the ever-adaptable Pritam, to life. The composition, which also takes poetic inspiration from the timeless verses of Qaisar Ul Jafri, gains poignant layers from lyricist Sandeep Shrivastava. As a result, the song combines the essence of traditional ghazal with the sensibilities of contemporary music, creating a nostalgic yet novel sound.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar and presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with Anurag Basu Productions, the film offers a heartfelt portrayal of life, love, and connection amid the chaos of contemporary urban India.

A stellar ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Saswata Chatterjee is also revealed in the teaser. It promises a passionate examination of love, longing, and emotional complexity against the backdrop of modern urban life, while also providing glimpses into their interwoven stories.
