Metro… In Dino, the much-anticipated film directed by Anurag Basu, hit theatres on July 4, 2025, and has opened to positive reviews from audiences.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Metro… In Dino earned Rs 3.35 crore on its opening day. Though the film witnessed a modest footfall during its morning and afternoon shows, it saw a significant upswing in the evening and night, with overall occupancy for the day standing at 17.99%.

The film, which weaves together parallel stories of love and relationships in a metropolitan backdrop, resonated well with viewers for its heartfelt storytelling and strong performances.

The film ended the day with strong numbers, which is particularly noteworthy for a non-action, dialogue-heavy ensemble drama. Night shows led the charge with an impressive 31.09% occupancy, while evening shows also made a significant contribution.

Although performance in major cities varied, it generally trended upward throughout the day. Both the National Capital Region and Mumbai saw robust turnouts, surpassing the 19% occupancy threshold. Bengaluru was the best-performing city with an average occupancy of 36%, especially during evening and night screenings, while Pune did marginally better with 20%.
