The re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has sparked an extraordinary response, receiving twice the love and admiration compared to its original 2016 launch. In a recent interview, Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, who famously portrayed the female lead in the film, addressed the prospect of returning for the highly anticipated sequel alongside Harshvardhan Rane.

During a conversation with Connect Cine, She expressed deep gratitude for the film’s ongoing success and took a moment to specifically acknowledge producer Deepak Mukut. She emphasized that his relentless efforts truly merit all the recognition and love that the film is currently enjoying.

Mawra then conveyed her enthusiasm about potentially reprising her role in Sanam Teri Kasam 2, while also expressing her readiness to accept any casting decision that may be made. She said, "If it’s possible for me to be a part of it, I’d love to, but even if it isn’t, there’s no hard feelings."

Hocane extended her best wishes to the team, expressing her hope that the sequel will soar to even greater heights, irrespective of her own involvement. She reaffirmed her steadfast support for the filmmakers, celebrating the resurgence of Sanam Teri Kasam as a testament to the film’s profound emotional impact on its audience.

In response to the enthusiastic reception of the re-release, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru recently announced plans for a sequel during an interview. However, the news has not been universally welcomed. Sanam Teri Kasam producer Deepak Mukut voiced his displeasure, asserting that the rights to the film belong solely to him, and that no sequel can move forward without his active involvement. He also mentioned that the sequel is currently in the writing stage.
