Depinder Chhibber, a contestant of Indian origin on MasterChef Australia, has once again won the hearts of the judges with her cooking. This time, it was her delicious Raj Kachori — a popular Indian street food — that left the judges amazed. Judge Sofia Levin even said, “If Raj Kachori is the king of street food, you’re the queen.”

Depinder first gained attention during MasterChef Australia Season 13. Back then, she served a complete Indian meal that included Chhole, Kadhai Paneer, Gobhi Paratha, Bhindi Fry, Stir-Fried Rice, and a special pickle made from her grandmother’s recipe. Her love for Indian food and flavors stood out then, and now she has returned with even more passion.

In her latest appearance, Depinder presented a dish from her childhood — Raj Kachori. This dish is a crispy, round puri stuffed with spiced potatoes, chickpeas, flavored yogurt, and tangy chutneys. As she built the dish in front of the judges, they watched closely and said, “I’m salivating, fixated,” showing how excited they were to try it.

But it wasn’t just the taste of the food that impressed everyone. Depinder shared a very personal memory with the dish, which made the moment even more special. She got emotional while talking about it. With tears in her eyes, she said, “I don’t know why I’m crying. I’ve had this all my life. I used to get the whole thing. My mum and dad were like, ‘Dude, you’re not going to be able to eat this by yourself.’ I’d say, ‘I will,’ but I never could finish it.”
