Manoj Bajpayee marks 6 years of The Family Man, teases Season 3

Six years after he first slipped into Srikant Tiwari’s rumpled shirts and double life, Manoj Bajpayee has given fans the update they’ve been waiting for: The Family Man is gearing up for its third outing.

Marking the show’s anniversary over the weekend, he took a fond look back at its 2018 debut—and then dropped a cheeky hint about what’s next.

Posting stills from Series 1, he wrote, “6 years since #TheFamilyMan Season 1 dropped and became a cult classic. Season 3? Bas samajh lo (the mission has started. Just understand), operation underway.”

Showrunners Raj & DK kept the momentum going with a clapboard post—catnip for anyone who’s been refreshing timelines for news.

Their note doubled as a love letter to the fandom: “From one clapboard to three, The Family Man has been multitasking. And so are we. Thank you for all the love, as you binged, laughed, memed and argued. You made #TheFamilyMan your own.”

It’s the spirit of the series in a sentence—smart, playful and a little bit undercover.

If you’re new to it, The Family Man follows Srikant, a middle-class dad who happens to be an intelligence officer with TASC—the kind of job that ruins school runs and dinner plans.

The cast has always been one of its strengths: Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Sharib Hashmi, Dalip Tahil, Sunny Hinduja and Shreya Dhanwanthary have all helped give the show its lived-in feel.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu arrived in Series 2 as a formidable antagonist, just as Srikant was trying (and failing) to go “normal”.

Bajpayee has also offered a little breadcrumb for the new series. Speaking to OTT Play, he said, “Nothing more than what is already out, but 'The Family Man Season 3' is releasing in November this year. There is a new addition to the show. We cast Jaideep Ahlawat two years ago, and he has done very well with 'Paatal Lok Season 2'. To our luck, he is in Season 3 of 'The Family Man'. This season is massive and very beautiful." There’s no official date from the makers yet, but the train clearly has leaves on the line and is still arriving.
