Actor Altamash Faraz has been quietly earning praise for his performance in Mangal Lakshmi. The show keeps him busy with regular shoots, long hours, and full schedules, which is normal for actors who work on daily TV.

But this year, his workdays fall during the holy month of Ramzan, which means he has to balance the demands of the set with his fast.

For Altamash, the experience has been about adjusting his routine rather than slowing down his work. Amid his busy schedule, he tries to organise his fasting around the day’s schedule.

Speaking about it, the actor told Moneycontrol, “I try to manage my fasting according to the schedule of each day, but I think when it comes to fasting during Ramadan, you get another level of motivation to go through your day. Initial days are tough, but after a few days, the body adapts, and you become in sync with the new routine.”

According to him, the first few days usually feel the most demanding.  The body needs time to adjust to the change in eating patterns and sleep cycles. But once that phase passes, things start falling into place.

Altamash believes that the spiritual significance of Ramzan itself helps him stay focused during long working hours.

The actor also pointed out that the atmosphere on the set becomes special during the month. He says the team working on Mangal Lakshmi has been extremely supportive, especially during iftar time.

“I am blessed that we have a huge iftar at our place every day in Ramadan. Everyone on the set gathers during iftar time, and there is a huge spread of delicious food. It is a good memory and experience to collectively celebrate Ramadan with everyone in harmony,” Altamash shared.

Those daily iftar moments have turned into something the entire team looks forward to. After a long day of filming scenes, everyone pauses together to break the fast. For Altamash, that sense of togetherness is what makes the experience memorable.

The actor says that Ramzan brings a different energy to the set, even though the pace of television production stays the same. Altamash Faraz still finds a way to balance work and faith, even though he has to get up early, work long hours, and fast. He says it's easier when the people around you are supportive.
