Malayalam actor Vinayakan was arrested for allegedly creating a ruckus at a five-star hotel in Kollam's Thevally area while under the influence of alcohol on Thursday. He was taken into custody at Anchalummoodu police station but was later released on bail.
According to PTI, a police officer revealed that Jailor actor was staying in the hotel since May 2, as he had to shoot the film at the nearby location. However, he created a scene during checkout on Thursday. He was intoxicated at the time.
Vinayakan was first taken to a health centre for a medical examination before being him to the police station. The officials also revealed that a case has been registered against him under section 118 (a) (found in a public place, in an intoxicated manner) of the Kerala Police Act.
The actor notably tried to pick a quarrel with police officers during the arrest and continued to create a scene at the police station. The TV channels' visuals showed Vinayakan shouting at the police inside the station.
