Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko flees hotel during drug raid in Kochi after actress Vincy Aloshious' complaint

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko reportedly fled from a hotel in North Ernakulam, Kochi city, during a police raid for drugs on Wednesday night (April 16). The action was taken after Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious leveled allegations of sexual misconduct by a fellow actor under the influence of drugs.

The alleged incident happened at 11 pm and the CCTV footage has also emerged, which shows a person running down the stairs from the hotel’s third floor.

Following Vincy Aloshious' allegations, Kochi police conducted the raid.

According to a report in Matrubhumi, when police knocked on the door of Room No 314, Shine opened the door and reportedly saw the police. He then escaped through the window.

Reports say the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) the raid was aimed at targeting the actor.

Vincy's allegations 

In a recent video, Vincy narrated a distressing event on a movie set in which the lead actor, who was reportedly intoxicated, behaved inappropriately towards her and another co-star.

Further explaining her remark she said, “I was working in a film where one of the main actors used drugs and behaved inappropriately. It wasn’t easy to work with him."

Vincy Aloshious also shared that there had been a problem with her costume, and as she was heading to get it fixed, the lead actor suddenly insisted on accompanying her and helping with the dress. She mentioned that this was said in front of everyone, which made the situation even more uncomfortable for her.

"Something white spilled from his mouth on to the table, and it was clear that he was using drugs on set. See, it’s one thing to use drugs in personal life, but to use it at your workplace, and making it uncomfortable for everyone around you is completely unacceptable," she added.

Vincy is known for her work in movies like Mischief, Kanakkam Kaamini Kalaham, Jana 2022, Padmini and Pazhanjan Pranayam.
