Malavika Mohanan slams netizen questioning the 33-year age gap with Hridayapoorvam co-star Mohanlal: ' Stop judging people'

Malavika Mohanan had announced that she has completed shooting for her upcoming film Hridayapoorvam, where she stars alongside Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. When a fan brought up the noticeable age gap between the two leads, the actress had an interesting response that quickly caught attention.

Malavika shared a series of photos in a post on Instagram, announcing that she wrapped up the film's first schedule. However, things took a turn when a fan commented on the 33-years of age gap between the two actors. The comment read, "65 year old man playing the love interest of a 30 year old. What is with these veteran actors desperate to play roles that don't fit their ages?"

Malavika quickly got back at them and questioned them why they assumed it was a lovestory. “who told you it’s a love interest? Stop judging people and a film with your half baked baseless assumptions.”

Describing the experience as warm and beautiful, Malavika Mohanan shared heartfelt glimpses from the sets of Hridayapoorvam, including a candid moment with Mohanlal. As she announced the completion of the film's first schedule, her post reflected the joy and camaraderie she felt during the shoot. She wrote, "Finished my first schedule of ‘Hridayapoorvam’ and what a month it was. When we’re jumping from one film to the other we make friends, acquaintances, confidants, or sometimes people just remain good colleagues, but very rarely does a set feel like family. This one is that for me. Beautiful, warm, wholesome, heartwarming. My soul feels nourished and happy. And that’s such a precious feeling, no?"

Just watching them, having them guide me, seeing how they bring cinematic magic to life, and all of this they do with so much of dignity and respect and grace. Worked with some of the most talented people, spent a blissful month in the beautiful hills and tea estates of thekkadi, drank endless lemon teas to keep myself warm in the cold evenings & last but definitely not the least shoutout to the loveliest team of assistant directors without whom this film would not be what it is."

Apart from Hridayapoorvam, Malavika will be seen in The Raja Saab with Prabhas. She was last seen in Thangalan and Bollywood film Yudra in 2024.
