Actor Mahira Sharma has addressed and denied rumours of a romantic relationship with cricketer Mohammed Siraj. The actress took to social media to put an end to the speculation, making it clear that the rumours are entirely unfounded.

On March 21, Mahira posted a direct message on her Instagram Stories, stating, “Stop spreading rumours, I’m not dating anyone.” This came after she was teased by photographers in Mumbai about her connection with Siraj.

The interaction occurred on March 20 when Mahira attended an award ceremony. Photographers asked her about her preferred team for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), and the exchange was captured on video, quickly circulating on social media.

The cricketer himself also addressed the rumours, sharing a post on his own Instagram story on March 21. He asked the paparazzi to stop asking questions about him, stating, “I request paparazzi's to stop asking questions around me. It is completely untrue and baseless. I hope this ends."

For months, there have been persistent rumours suggesting a romantic relationship between Mahira Sharma and Mohammed Siraj. These speculations were fuelled by reports claiming they were romantically involved but had kept the relationship private. It was also noted that Siraj had liked one of Mahira’s Instagram posts and that the two had started following each other on the platform.

In a previous interview with Filmy Gyan, Mahira responded to fans’ comments about her dating Siraj, saying, "Kisi ka kuch nahi hai (There is nothing). I'm not dating anyone." She also shared how she deals with such link-up reports, stating, "Fans can connect you with anyone. We can't stop them. When I work, I am linked to them (co-stars) too. They make edits and all. But I don't give much importance to all this. If you like this, do it, but there is nothing like this."

Mahira rose to fame through her appearance on Bigg Boss 13 and was previously in a relationship with Paras Chhabra, but the two parted ways in 2023.
