The series may have wrapped, but fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty aren’t saying goodbye just yet. At the red carpet event for the Season 3 finale in Paris, Prime Video officially announced that Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy will conclude with a feature film.
Han herself will write and direct the movie, describing it as the only way to give Belly’s journey the ending it deserves. “There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due,” Han said during the event.
The film will bring back Lola Tung as Belly and Christopher Briney as Conrad, whose romance finally found closure in the Season 3 finale, though not without a few twists in Paris and beyond.
Season 3 Finale Set the Stage
Fans saw Conrad travel to Paris to tell Belly he still loved her, while also wrestling with doubts about her new friendships. In the end, she ran after him at the train station, choosing him once again.
Meanwhile, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) was busy sharpening his culinary skills, and Taylor (Rain Spencer) plotted a move to California with Steven (Sean Kaufman) after news of his video game project funding came through.
