Lataa Saberwal confirms separation from husband Sanjeev Seth after 16 years of marriage

The duo played an iconic on-screen couple in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where Sanjeev portrayed Vishambharnath Maheshwari.

Television actress Lataa Saberwal, best remembered for her portrayal of Rajshri Maheshwari in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has officially announced her separation from actor-husband Sanjeev Seth. The two had been married since 2009 and shared both a professional and personal bond for over a decade and a half.

In a heartfelt social media post, Lataa wrote, “After a prolonged silence… I declare that I (Lataa Saberwal) have been separated from my husband (Mr. Sanjeev Seth). I give gratitude to him for giving me a lovely son. I wish him all the best for his future life. I request everyone to please respect my and my family’s peace and not to ask any questions or call regarding this.”

The duo played an iconic on-screen couple in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where Sanjeev portrayed Vishambharnath Maheshwari. They later reprised their roles in the show's spin-off Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. In 2013, they appeared together in Nach Baliye 6, winning audiences over with their real-life chemistry.

The couple has a son named Aarav. Sanjeev was previously married to actress Resham Tipnis and has two children, Rishika and Manav, from that marriage.

In 2021, Lataa announced her decision to step away from television to pursue other creative interests. She remains a respected figure in the industry, known for her dignified screen presence and grounded personality.
