The much awaited and big-budget Malayalam film L2: Empuraan starring superstar Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Tovino Thomas hit theaters today (March 27). Now there is some sadness that the movie has already leaked online within hours of its release.

L2: Empuraan is a sequel to Mohanlal's 2019 hit film Lucifer.

According to a report in Times Now, Empuraan, which had opened to smashing reviews, is available on many websites like Filmyzilla, Movierulez, Telegram, and Tamilrockerz.

Moviemakers, producers, directors, and actors have been fighting against piracy, and they keep urging fans to not watch pirated movies as it affects the overall collections of the movies.

The pirated movies are available for free, and many people download them, eventually affecting their box office collection.

However, it is not the first time that any film has been leaked online; recently, Pushpa 2 was also leaked online.

The political thriller L2: Empuraan stars Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. It is a sequel to 2019 hit Lucifer.

L2: Empuraan has been directed by Prithviraj and is jointly produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under the banners of Aashirvad Cinemas Pvt Ltd and Sree Gokulam Movies.

According to reports, L2: Empuraan has already collected a whopping Rs 60 crore in advance bookings.

L2: Empuraan is going to clash with Sikandar, which releases on March 30. Prithviraj.

L2 also stars Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, and Suraj Venjaramoodu in pivotal roles.
