L2: Empuraan starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran has been performing well at the box office. The Malayalam film did well in its first 4 days at the box office and collected an estimated Rs 59.00 Cr India net, according to trade site Sacnilk.
On Day 5, L2: Empuraan collected around Rs 11.00 crore India net on its fifth day for all languages taking it total to Rs 70 crore.

Monday being an Eid Holiday, L2: Empuraan had an occupancy of 66.83% in Malayalam language. Morning Shows: 56.84%, Afternoon Shows: 71.58%, Evening Shows: 71.03%
and Night Shows: 67.88%.
Meanwhile for Hindi language, Morning Shows: 4.00%, Afternoon Shows: 11.15%,
Evening Shows: 12.48% and Night Shows: 13.28%.

L2: Empuraan stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles.
L2 Empuraan has also quoted controversy and its lead actor Mohanlal also tendered an apology on it. Mohanlal also expressed regret for any distress caused to his fans and the audience.
Producer Gokulam Gopalan has also said that the team is going to go with 17 cuts in the film, with the revised version set to hit theaters next week.
