Typhoon Family, which debuted on Saturday, October 11, took over the weekend drama slot that Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, which starred Im YoonA and Lee Chae Min in key parts, had previously occupied.
The series has impressed the audience as well as the critics since its release. The series received rave reviews for its gripping storyline and strong performances.

According to the Nielsen Korea report, Typhoon Family's premiere episode ranked first in its time slot across all channels with an average national rating of 5.9%. The drama also garnered a national average rating of 1.8% in the key demographic of viewers aged 20 to 49.

Typhoon Family, which is set during the 1997 economic crisis in South Korea, centres on Kang Tae Poong (Lee Jun Ho), who unexpectedly inherits Typhoon Trading, his father's small business, following his death.
