Stray Kids are enjoying one of the biggest moments of their career after climbing to No. 2 on the 2025 Global Artist Chart published by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.

It marks a new personal best for the group, who first entered the ranking at No. 7 in 2022 and have managed to stay on the list every year since.

This steady rise feels less like overnight success and more like the payoff for years of relentless work. In 2025, they secured the second spot, placing just behind global superstar Taylor Swift, according to the IFPI’s announcement on Wednesday (U.S. time).

The chart is widely regarded as one of the most reliable indicators of worldwide music popularity, as it measures overall global consumption — from physical album sales to digital downloads and streaming — across an artist’s entire catalogue, not just recent releases.

For Stray Kids, the ranking reflects how far their music has travelled beyond South Korea. Expansive world tours, million-selling albums and a fiercely loyal fanbase have all contributed to their growing global footprint.

Their climb from No. 7 to No. 2 over four years signals sustained momentum rather than a single breakout year.

They were not alone in representing K-pop on the list. Seventeen ranked 14th, marking their fifth consecutive appearance on the Global Artist Chart since 2021 — another sign of the genre’s lasting international appeal.

Amid this career high, Stray Kids are also preparing to bring their live energy to cinemas with a concert film titled Stray Kids: The DominATE Experience. The film centres on their sold-out show at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium during the Dominate World Tour, capturing the scale and intensity of the performance.

The trailer offers glimpses of all eight members — Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N — fully immersed in the show. Beyond the stage, audiences can expect behind-the-scenes footage, personal interviews, pre-show rituals and heartfelt fan interactions.

Set for a global theatrical release on 6 February 2026, the film is also expected to screen in India the same day, giving fans the chance to experience the concert atmosphere on the big screen.
