Actor Song Kang, best known for his roles in popular K-dramas like Nevertheless, My Demon, and Sweet Home, is making headlines after tickets for his first fan meeting since completing his military service sold out within minutes.
At the "2025 SONG KANG FANMEETING ROUND 2 IN SEOUL" held at Yonsei University's Centennial Hall in Seoul on November 8, Song was reunited with his fans.
It was a heartfelt celebration of his official domestic return. As soon as ticket sales started, every seat was taken, demonstrating that even after a two-year hiatus, his popularity is still very much alive.
The fan meet opened with a video montage showcasing Song’s signature charm, followed by a heartfelt performance of Delispice’s Confession. Greeting the crowd, he said, “I missed you all so much. I thought a lot about how to prepare for this moment after two years away. I told myself, ‘At least bring your sincere wish to see them again.’ But now that I’m here, I’m so nervous and so happy.”
With a 'racing' theme, the event included entertaining elements such as the 'Start Line Talk' about his life after the military, a 'Speed OX' quiz based on his dramas, interactive games and a heartwarming 'Fan Rally' where Song read fan messages and fielded questions.
He once personally distributed signed posters to fans as he made his way through the aisles from the second floor to the first, sending them into a frenzy. Another highlight was his live performances; Nerd Connection's Good Night Good Dream brought many to tears, and Yoon Sang's Run brought smiles to the hall.
Veteran host Park Kyung-lim kept the energy lively throughout the evening, guiding the event with humor and warmth. A particularly emotional moment came when fans surprised Song with a banner reading, “Ready to race again with Kang,” and a special cake to mark his “Round 2” journey, symbolizing their deep affection and continued support.
As the night came to an end, Song expressed his gratitude, saying, “I was so nervous at first, but talking and playing games with you made me really happy. Meeting Songpyeon (his fandom) before returning to acting gives me so much strength. I’m always grateful — I hope I can be the same kind of support for you that you are for me.”
The evening concluded with a “Hi-Bye” session where Song personally greeted every fan. He ended the event with a promise to return soon.
Song Kang will continue his “Round 2” tour later this month, with fan meetings scheduled in Yokohama on November 22–23 and Osaka on November 26–27. His most recent screen appearance was in the fantasy romance series My Demon.
