Galaxy Corp., the entertainment tech company best known for managing K-pop star G-Dragon, is preparing to open a branch in India, though the company has not yet revealed a launch date.
According to a Korean Herald report, an industry source said the company is currently studying the Indian market as it plans its fourth overseas branch after Japan, the US, and Hong Kong. Galaxy Corp. also has an office in Singapore, though that location is not registered as a formal legal entity.
The source explained, “Galaxy Corp.’s business division is conducting market research related to entry into India and is also working on establishing an Indian subsidiary. At the end of last year, G-Dragon’s team also made local inquiries about concert demand and performance guarantees for the artist’s solo show.”
If these developments move forward, Galaxy Corp. will become the second Korean agency to set up a branch in India, following HYBE.
Industry experts view this step as part of the company’s broader push to grow internationally and highlight its global potential ahead of its planned public offering. Although the company hasn’t confirmed an IPO schedule, reports suggest it is aiming for early next year.

Galaxy Corp. has also been expanding its talent lineup, having recently signed actor Song Kang-ho and TV personality Kim Jong-kook in August and September. This signals the company’s continued focus on growth and diversification.
Interest from the K-pop industry in India has been rising ever since HYBE opened its Mumbai-based branch, HYBE India, in September. With Chinese restrictions limiting K-pop artists’ opportunities there, India — with its population of 1.46 billion — has become an increasingly attractive and promising market.
