It was meant to be just another late-night chat between Jungkook and his fans — the kind of spontaneous Weverse live that BTS members have done for years. Instead, it has turned into one of the most talked-about moments in the fandom this year.

At around 3:42 am on 26 February, Jungkook went live on Weverse, casually mentioning that he had been spending time with friends and his elder brother. He appeared relaxed and unfiltered, speaking openly about his hectic schedule as BTS gear up for their comeback.

But the conversation took a more vulnerable turn when Jungkook began expressing frustration about how busy he had been. He shared, "I was really busy in February–March and didn't even have time to go to the dermatologist. Because the comeback is right around the corner, I have to do a lot of preparation." For many fans, it was not just about a dermatologist appointment — it was about hearing how stretched he felt.

He went on to say, “I'm a person too, I don't know, and I went live because I wanted to. The moment I say this, I think the company will freak out.” Then, more directly, “This isn't something agreed upon with the company; I said it because I felt frustrated.”

According to clips that circulated before the livestream was deleted, Jungkook also said, "Honestly, going off because I'm drunk is part of my personality and my thoughts, isn't it? Speak freely. Don't worry about the company. That's what I actually want. Of course, this could become a controversy, I don't know, but that's who I am, so what can I do?" When some viewers urged him to stop the broadcast, he reportedly told them not to boss him around.

Not long after, the video disappeared.

Whether HYBE stepped in or Jungkook chose to remove it himself remains unclear. That uncertainty has left fans worried — not angry, but protective. Many took to X (formerly Twitter) to express support.

One wrote, “I want to address HYBE. Please support Jungkook and don't criticize him. I understand the company's concerns. No matter what the media and others write. Screw everyone. We'll figure it out. We love Jungkook for who he is. We won't stop supporting him!”

Another added, “I love Jungkook so much. YOU READING THIS HYBE??! We LOVE Jungkook for the person he is. Y'all better NOT call him into no dam HR meeting OR YALL REALLY GONNA HEAR IT FROM US. Treat him with respect and kindness or ITS ON SIGHT. You’re dismissed.”
