The excitement around BTS member Jin’s upcoming encore concerts has taken over Incheon — and it’s not just fans who are feeling the impact.

Hotels near Munhak Main Stadium, where the concerts are scheduled to take place, have seen prices skyrocket in the wake of the announcement, leaving many fans scrambling for affordable accommodation.

The shows, part of Jin’s RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, are set for October 31 and November 1, but organisers have warned that the dates might shift by a day due to changes in the stadium’s sports calendar.

The short notice — less than a month before the concerts — has created chaos for fans trying to finalise their travel plans.

As per Hallyutalk, since the announcement, hotel rates in the area have reportedly jumped by 200 per cent, with some properties cancelling existing bookings or dramatically increasing prices overnight.

One disappointed fan shared, “My confirmed booking was suddenly canceled over the phone because the site said the price was wrong,” reflecting a growing frustration among travellers.

Rooms that would usually cost around 80,000 KRW (about 57 USD) during busy periods are now listed at more than 1,075,000 KRW (roughly 765 USD). Fans, as well as locals who had unrelated plans during that weekend, have taken to social media to express their outrage at what they describe as “opportunistic pricing.”

In a notice posted on Weverse, organisers explained that the uncertainty surrounding the event dates was due to a last-minute change in the stadium’s availability.

Jin later revealed that he himself was informed about the venue only three weeks prior, acknowledging that both fans and organisers were dealing with limited preparation time.

Still, despite the logistical chaos, the enthusiasm among ARMY — BTS’ loyal fanbase — remains undiminished. Many are comparing notes online, sharing alternative stay options, carpool plans, and ways to make the trip work.

Local businesses, meanwhile, are trying to keep up with the sudden surge in demand. Restaurants, cafés, and transport operators in Incheon are preparing for an influx of visitors that will likely transform the city into a sea of purple during the concert weekend.
