Global superstar Lalisa “Lisa” Manoban has just been named the new Amazing Thailand Ambassador—and it's a proud moment for Thailand.

On October 15, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) made the official announcement, revealing that the BLACKPINK member will now represent the country’s tourism brand on the world stage.

It’s a natural fit. Before becoming internationally famous with BLACKPINK, Lisa was born and raised in Thailand. She proudly and gracefully carries her Thai heritage.

Sharing the spirit of Thailand's culture, friendliness, and identity with people worldwide is the focus of her new position, which goes beyond simply promoting stunning travel destinations.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool shared how significant this moment is, saying, “TAT aims to position Thailand as a high-quality and safe destination, warmly welcoming both domestic and international travellers.”

She added that Lisa’s influence will help inspire people—locals and tourists alike—to explore the country from a new perspective.

“Lisa’s appointment as Amazing Thailand Ambassador is a source of national pride,” Thapanee said, and it’s not hard to see why.

She is the ideal spokesperson to share Thailand's story with the world because of her extensive fan base, global presence, and abiding passion for her native country.
