The title Kobali was originally proposed by director Trivikram Srinivas for a film he intended to star in alongside Pawan Kalyan. Although the film never came to fruition, the title has now been adopted for this intense crime drama.

Kobali features a strong ensemble cast with Ravi Prakash playing a central role.
