Kim Sae Ron’s husband speaks out; denies abuse allegations, challenges proof claims

The man, who claims to be American, revealed that he first met Kim Sae Ron in November 2024 through a mutual acquaintance.

The alleged American husband of late actress Kim Sae Ron has finally broken his silence regarding the abuse accusations circulating online. In a statement released via the Garo Sero Research Institute, he refuted claims of physical assault, blackmail, and controlling behaviour, insisting that their marriage was brief and ended amicably.

The man, who claims to be American, revealed that he first met Kim Sae Ron in November 2024 through a mutual acquaintance. Their relationship progressed rapidly, leading to a legal marriage in the US on January 12, 2025. However, he admitted that the decision was impulsive, and the couple soon realised their differences. “We fell in love fast and made a quick decision, but ultimately, we realised it wasn’t sustainable,” he explained, citing long-distance challenges and personality clashes as reasons for their separation. He also provided a marriage certificate as proof of their legal union.

Addressing accusations made by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, the husband categorically denied any incidents of domestic violence. He challenged those making the claims to release evidence, particularly alleged photos of bruises. “They said they had photos of the physical abuse, and I urge them to publicise the photos if they have them. If necessary, I will undergo police investigations,” he stated.

He further emphasised that he lived in a quiet US apartment complex where any disturbance would have been reported immediately. “It is built such that if assault had taken place, the floor below would immediately make a report. In addition, assault in America results in strong legal responsibility,” he asserted.

The husband also rejected allegations of monitoring Kim Sae Ron’s social media accounts or controlling her life. He explained that they mutually shared phone and social media passwords as part of their long-distance relationship to foster trust. “She often used my phone to contact people, and we freely shared our passwords as a couple,” he clarified.

Regarding the blackmail accusations, he dismissed claims that he coerced Kim Sae Ron into marriage by threatening to reveal a supposed pregnancy. He also stated that on March 18, 2025, he received anonymous messages from someone claiming to be Kim Sae Ron’s cousin, accusing him of abuse and extortion. However, when he threatened legal action, the sender immediately ceased contact.

“I am prepared to request a fair police investigation. Please stop spreading falsehoods about someone who can no longer defend herself,” he urged.
