Well-known South Korean singer and entertainer Kim Jong Min formally married his long-time non-celebrity fiancée on April 20. Close friends, family members, and well-known figures from the entertainment industry attended the private wedding, which was held at Seoul's opulent Shilla Hotel.

Kim Jong Min deliberately tried to respect his bride's desire for privacy in spite of his enormous popularity. However, he carefully planned a quick press conference right before the ceremony because he understood how much the public and his fans loved him.

The well-known performer shared his thoughts on starting a new chapter in his life with the media while wearing his signature bright smile. It feels weird to be both anxious and excited. A new life seems to be about to begin. According to Soompi, he stated, "I'm excited to begin the second chapter of my life."

Having spent over two decades in the limelight, Kim couldn’t help but joke about the mixed reactions he received from his peers. “Those who are married were extremely happy for me,” he laughed. “Those who are single also congratulated me, but I don’t think it was sincere.” He also gave a playful shout-out to his Koyote bandmates Shinji and Bbaek Ga, saying he hoped his wedding might motivate them to follow suit.

To his new bride, Kim offered a sincere promise: “Let’s overcome difficulties together. I may fall short in many ways, but I hope you still understand as we live together.” He also expressed his hopes of having children, saying he dreams of a son and daughter. With a mischievous grin, he added, “I hope at their doljanchi (first birthday party), they grab a pencil,” referring to the symbolic Korean tradition that hints at a child’s future.

The ceremony itself was a lovely fusion of celebration and emotion. Comedians Moon Se Yoon and Cho Sae Ho hosted the reception, while Yoo Jae Suk, Nation's MC, officiated the event's first segment. Guests were moved by the soulful performances of singers Lee Juk and Lyn, who added a musical touch.
