Comedian Kiku Sharda, a long-standing and much-loved member of Kapil Sharma’s comedy ensemble, recently found himself at the centre of swirling rumours regarding his association with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.

The speculations began after a popular paparazzi account, Viral Bhayani, took to his Instagram topost that Kiku had chosen to leave the show. The news quickly went viral and sparked reactions from fans who were both surprised and disappointed at the possibility of his exit.

Reports further fuelled the story, claiming that Kiku had signed on to a fresh reality series titled Rise and Fall, expected to stream on Amazon MX Player. This show is said to be helmed by Ashneer Grover, the former Shark Tank India judge. Insiders suggested that Kiku’s involvement with this new project was the principal reason behind his decision to part ways with Kapil’s troupe.

However, putting an end to the hearsay, Kiku’s team issued a clear statement denying the reports. They clarified that he has no intention of leaving The Great Indian Kapil Show, and continues to remain an active part of the Netflix production.

Their official note read: “Don’t believe rumours! Kiku Sharda continues being a part of the great Indian Kapil Sharma show!” This confirmation has brought relief to viewers who were anxious about losing one of the show’s most versatile performers.

The footage in question showed Kiku and Krushna Abhishek engaged in a seemingly heated exchange during a shoot. In the video, Kiku was heard saying, “Timepass kar raha hu?” to which Krushna, visibly displeased, retorted, “To phir thik hai aap karlo. Aap karlo, bhai koi problem nahi hai. Main jata hu yaha se.” Kiku clarified that he merely wanted to complete his act since he had been called on stage.

Krushna later spoke softly that “I love you and respect you, I don’t want to raise my voice.” To this, Kiku responded, “Raise voice ka baat nahi hai, aap isko galat tarike se leke jaa rahe hai.”

With the rumours now quashed and both artists still on board, fans can look forward to the continued camaraderie and humour that define Kapil’s celebrated comedy platform.
