Actor Ravi Mohan has been in the headlines recently due to his divorce and social media battle with wife Aarti Ravi. His rumoured girlfriend Kenishaa Francis had recently shared that she has been receiving death threats and online abuses.
Kenishaa has officially released a legal statement in response to the abusive messages and defamatory comments she has faced online, following her alleged association with the marital separation of Ravi Mohan.
The legal statement, which she shared via her Instagram account, was structured into nine distinct points.
It opens with Kenishaa explaining her decision to take a firm legal stand after becoming, in her words, an “unwanted focal point of a concerted and intensifying pattern of public speculation, digital scrutiny, and online assault.”
The statement read, “These acts amount to direct violations of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, including Section 75 (sexual harassment through unwelcome advances or sexually colored remarks), Section 351 (criminal intimidation), and Section 356 (defamation), as well as multiple provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, including Section 66E (violation of privacy), Section 67 and Section 67 A (publication or transmission of obscene content in electronic form).”
All relevant screenshots and digital evidence would be kept for any future legal action, the legal statement added. "To All Offenders: Cease and Desist Notice from Kenishaa's Legal Team" is the clear warning that Kenishaa included as the caption for the photo.

One of the statement's main points was that the client had received "death threats, sexually explicit, and obscene messages," which had caused her great psychological suffering and reputational harm.
Ravi and Kenishaa were spotted together at a wedding recently which sparked rumours about their relationship.
