Keanu Reeves isn’t a married man, at least not yet. After Radar Online claimed the John Wick star tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant in a private European ceremony this summer, the actor’s rep stepped in to clear the air.

“It is not true. They are not married,” Reeves’s publicist told E! News in a statement on September 22, shutting down the swirl of speculation that had taken over social media.

Grant’s birthday tribute sparked buzz

The rumors gained more traction earlier this month when Alexandra posted a rare birthday tribute for Keanu’s 61st. On September 3, she shared a photo of a heart-shaped cake with his name on it, writing, “Thank you to everyone for sending over sweet wishes for Keanu’s birthday yesterday… he was well-celebrated!”

She added a sweet note directly to Keanu: “And to Keanu—who saw this post as a draft!—I am so grateful for your love and partnership. Now back to painting! xo.”

It was enough to get fans wondering if the pair had already taken their relationship to the next level.

A love story built on collaboration

Keanu and Alexandra’s story goes back more than a decade. Before they went public as a couple in 2019 at the LACMA Art + Film Gala, they had already been creative partners.
