Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will soon be seen sharing screen space with Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in Meghna Gulzar's next directorial venture, Daayra.

Daayra is billed as a criminal thriller that captures the 'pulse of the people' while confronting today's 'topical and devilish reality.'

Kareena is teaming up with Prithviraj for the first time onscreen.

Prior to Daayra, Meghna has directed some hard-hitting movies like Raazi, Chapak and Sam Bahadur.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who most recently directed the smash hit film 'L2: Empuraan' starring Mohanlal, broke the good news to his fans.

Besides being an amazing actor, he is a director of three successful films and is someone who every director and actor would like to work with.

After establishing himself as a promising actor in Bollywood, Prithviraj has signed another Hindi project and took to his social media to announce the same.

The Aadujeevitham actor shared a few pictures and wrote, "Some stories stay with you from the moment you he wrote: "Some stories stay with you from the moment you hear them.

Kareena Kapoor also shared a note with two images from the mock shoot with her fans.

The project is currently in pre-production and is co-written by Yash, Sima, and Meghna Gulzar.

After the success of Sam Bahadur, this marks Meghna’s next directorial venture — one that brings together a strong cast, an impactful story, and a talented creative team.

The film is seen as a gritty exploration of ‘crime and punishment, justice and truth’.

On the work front, Prithviraj is also occupied with one of the most awaited films from Tollywood.

He recently shot a part of his portion for SSMB29 starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra and directed by Rajamouli. Expectations on this film are high and now we have to wait and see how Prithviraj juggle between these projects and give his best.
