Karan Johar will host The Traitors

Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid, has recently made her acting debut with the Netflix show Nadaaniyaan. However, the recent reports have suggested that she would soon make a powerful reality TV competition debut with Prime Video’s The Traitors.

The rumors of Apoorva’s casting swirled around after filmmaker Karan Johar dropped a teaser of the series. In the teaser, the actor said, “Here you'll find a rebel… who's still a kid at heart but big on drama,” creating a buzz about Apoorva’s potential appearance in the highly anticipated reality-thriller series, considering she is popularly referred to as ‘rebel’.

Karan captioned the teaser, “Yahan trust is rare, but dhokha is everywhere! #TheTraitorsOnPrime, a new reality series coming on June 12 only on @primevideoin.”

Several fans took to the comment section and speculated the Rebel Kids’ appearance. One wrote, “Ill be watching for REBEL KID.” Another added, “Excited for @the.rebel.kid she will nail it.” Third person wrote, “omggg apoorvaa @the.rebel.kid.”

However, the speculations further doubled down after Apoorva shared a cryptic post. The influencer took to her Instagram and shared a series of photos of herself in a black dress. However, the post’s caption grabbed most attention, with the fans speculating that she also teased her The Traitor gig.

The caption reads, “i’ve always liked games. especially the ones you don’t know you’re in.”

However, The Traitors’ creator or Karan Johar, are yet to officially confirm the contestants. Meanwhile, there have been speculations that Elvish Yadav and Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, will also participate in the show.

The upcoming show is a spinoff of the US reality show of the same title. The competition will feature around twenty most cunning contestants, a mix of famous faces, playing the ultimate murder mystery game.
