Kajol shared a heartfelt yet cryptic message following the passing of veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and uncle to Kajol and Rani Mukerji. Deb Mukherjee, aged 83, passed away on Friday after a prolonged battle with age-related health issues.
His death has deeply impacted both his family and the Bollywood community. The actor’s funeral was held on Saturday at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai, with numerous notable personalities, including Kajol, Jaya Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, and Ranbir Kapoor, attending to pay their last respects.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kajol expressed her grief with a poignant message, she wrote, "Grief is the price we pay for having loved deeply. It never goes away. We just learn to live with it."
Known for his presence in the Samarth-Mukherjee family, Deb Mukherjee was a familiar face at the Durga Puja celebrations hosted by Kajol and Rani, making his absence even more poignant for the family.
Kajol was among the first to reach her cousin Ayan Mukerji’s home after hearing the tragic news. Paparazzi footage showed her rushing to be by his side, offering comfort during this difficult time. Jaya Bachchan also arrived shortly after and was seen embracing Kajol in a warm, consoling hug. The two actresses shared a tender moment of support before joining other close family members and friends inside.
