Kajol seeks blessings at Dakshineswar Kali temple ahead of Maa premiere, says “This is my strongest role ever”

Bollywood actress Kajol, who is gearing up for the upcoming film Maa, recently visited the Dakshineswar Kali temple in Kolkata. The actress was in the city for the promotion of her upcoming film.

The actress has been an ardent devotee of Maa Kali and often visits the city. The actress opted for a traditional look for her recent temple visit. She looked stunning in a peach colored saree with a delicate golden embroidered border adorned with tassels.

The actress paired it with a matching sleeveless blouse, keeping the look simple yet sophisticated. She completed her look with dazzling earrings, a bindi and minimal make-up. She tied her hair back in a ponytail. The actress also performed aarti at the temple.

The actress talked about her upcoming film and said, “This is my strongest roles ever.”

On the professional front, Kajol was last seen in Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon, who stars in a double role. In Shashanka Chaturvedi’s directorial film, Kajol stars as a police inspector investigating an attempted murder case in the gripping crime thriller. Do Patti also stars Shaheer Sheikh, Tanvi Azmi and Brijendra Kala in pivotal roles.

Kajol has a series of exciting projects in her pipeline, including Sarzameen and Maharagni – Queen of Queens. She also has an upcoming mythological film titled Maa in her lineup.

Directed by Vishal Furia, Kajol portrays the powerful role of a fierce mother determined to protect her daughter. The film also stars Kherin Sharma in a pivotal role, alongside Ronit Roy and Indraneil Sengupta. Maa is set to premiere in the theatres on June 22.
