Similar to several other Bollywood stars, Kajol is broadening her horizons beyond cinema and making notable moves in the real estate sector.

Known for her impressive career in cinema, Kajol is now diversifying her investments with the recent acquisition of a premium commercial space in Mumbai’s Goregaon West, worth Rs 28.78 crore.

According to property records from IndexTap.com, the transaction was finalised on March 6, 2025. The property, known as Shop No. 2 on the ground floor of Bharat Arize, located on Linking Road in Bangur Nagar, was bought from Bharat Realty Ventures Pvt Ltd.

Kajol’s new real estate acquisition provides a generous space of 4,365 sq. ft., and comes with five exclusive parking spots. The commercial unit was purchased at a rate of Rs 65,940 per square foot, resulting in a total cost of Rs 28.78 crore. Additionally, official records reveal that the actress paid Rs 1.72 crore in stamp duty for the property.

Goregaon West has emerged as a prime commercial hotspot in Mumbai, attracting significant investments from high-net-worth individuals. Kajol’s purchase is a testament to the growing demand for properties in this flourishing real estate market.

On the professional front, Kajol recently unveiled the first motion poster of her upcoming mythological film, Maa. Directed by Vishal Furia, known for Chhorii and the Criminal Justice series, the film sees Kajol in a powerful role as a fierce mother determined to protect her daughter, played by Kherin Sharma.

In addition to Maa, Kajol will also star in Kayoze Irani’s Sarzameen, where she shares the screen with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mihir Ahuja, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and others. The film is expected to be an exciting addition to her diverse body of work, offering Kajol the opportunity to explore different genres and roles.
